´´Ooh, thank you.....I got to, I´m impressed, man, the record´s
only been out a few days and you guys got it down, I´m very impressed....we´re
gonna need all the help we can get when we get to the Meadowlands there, you
know....´´

´´Thank you for coming out....(?)(chuckles)....it was hotter than
this once....in Belgium, I think it was (chuckles)(?) anyway, how hot was it,
alright ? uh, a couple of public announcements: the Clearwater Festival´s
coming back into town....we came down last year, had a great time, it´s
a great thing to, uh, to support trying to keep these oceans clean here off
our beaches, please.....that is so important, they´re gonna be here August,
uh, wait a minute, August 17th and 18th, if you get a chance, come on down,
we had a beautiful day on the lawn last year, they could use your support.....oh
!....and today, thanks to you folks coming, the, uh, Interfaith Neighbors have
a little help tonight, they, uh, serve almost half a million meals each year
to Monmouth County´s senior citizens and children and, uh, they´re
also building beautiful and affordable single-family homes in Asbury Park and
in the neighboring Neptune township....and they´re selling to the local
families for less than what they´ve often paid in rent so....they´re
currently building a new home at Bangs Avenue and Langford and they´re
planning to build eight new homes in the next 18 months so they are appreciating
your support here.....(?)....oh....(someone yells `Welcome to Atlantic City´)
Atlantic City....I was there once but there was two strippers in my hotelroom,
no, no, no, just joking, just joking, alright, Atlantic City (?) Atlantic City
(chuckles) ´Come back, he says´ (chuckles) alright, uh.....family,
alright, also we´re helping tonight the Family and Children Services,
a 93-year-old organization.....oh.....and they´re offering health care
(?) a reading program, free books to 600 kids enrolled in Asbury Park´s
summer recreation program....so thank you for them and last but not least, our
fabulous businesses here in Asbury Park: Georgie´s Tavern is open.....and
woah, they get crazy over there, let me tell you (chuckles) (?) Portuguese Food,
really good (?) Studebaker´s Antiques, Malcolm and Tom, Dave and Carol
at the Downtown (?) Antic Hay Bookstore´s guy knows quite a bit about
John Steinbeck in there, he´s got some great old books, used and rare
books, the Asbury Art next to the (?) Gallery, of course the (?) Gallery with
fabulous Michelle....Cookman 627 Divine Madness, two new galleries down on Cookman
Avenue, they´re really great, go down and check ´em out.....(?)
making soaps and lotions and all that sort of stuff and I need that shit after
a night like tonight, alright (chuckles)....we got, uh, (?) African-American
and Native American art and they have great concerts in the evening et cetera
(?) House of Modern Living, Billy, the Mayor of Cookman Avenue, Insomnia Cafe,
Moonstruck Restaurant (?) the place is great, Mr.Fashion, our longtime legend
and former mayor, I hit the (?) quite often myself and uh (chuckles) Sonny´s
Southern Cuisine, of course, (?) they put the heart in soul food (?) Ocean Park
Gallery, of course, we always got the Pony, the Saint (?) Paradise, open for
business !....so at your leisure, check any of those out.....ladies and gentlemen,
this has been a public service announcement.....´´

´´Thanks, you hung tough !...thanks, we love you, be seeing you
up north !....I wanna thank everybody that came to our rehearsal shows here
in Asbury and I wanna thank all the folks outside on the beach and on the boardwalk
for hanging in there with us, thank you, it´s been a real great help,
it´s always a pleasure to come back here and play in Convention Hall (?)
(chuckles)....so we´ll be seeing you along the way ´cause there´s
a big train coming down the track !....´´
