2004 we need a man in the White House that knows what he´s doing....we
need a man that can get things straight, I’m talking about Big Man Al
Franken (Al Franken appears on stage briefly)....sounds a little empty, it´d
better be Big Man Clarence Clemons....oh Lord, ooh! we´re having fun now!....I
want you to put your arms together (chuckles) put your ass together, put your
hands together for the heart-stopping, pants-dropping, houserocking, brain-shocking,
earthquaking, booty-shaking, Viagra-taking, history-making, lovemaking, sexifying,

´´Tonight we got, uh....two seats out there in the house that unfortunately
won´t be filled.... they belong to Jimmy and Yetta O´Shea from Holbrook,
Long Island....Jimmy is the New York City firefighter that was killed last Saturday
night fighting a fire in Queens and Yetta is his wife and she bought him these
tickets for his 41st birthday and, uh....she sent a letter and asked us to remember
him in our thoughts and in our prayers as a loving father, as a great husband,
she said he was a good family man....so we´ll send this one out tonight
to Jimmy O´Shea and Yetta, our thoughts and prayers are with you.....´´

the folks from the Coalition for the Homeless, they´re out there on the
frontline doing a good work....we´ll send this out to them....´´
03.10.03 Flushing, NY, intro to ´Born in the U.S.A´
´´Thank you, once again I wanna thank everybody for coming out....this
is where I make my little public service announcement, we have people of all
different kinds of political beliefs who come out to our shows and I like that
and we, we welcome everybody....there´s been a lot of questions lately
raised about the forthrightness of the government, I just wanted to say that
playing with the truth during wartime has been a part of both Democratic and
Republican administrations in the past and it´s always wrong when the
lives of our sons and daughters are on the line....and the question of whether
we were misled to the war in Iraq´s not really a Liberal or a Conservative
question, it´s an American question that goes to the heart of protecting
the democracy we ask our sons and our daughters to die for....it´s our
sacred trust as citizens to demand accountability and the truth from our leaders....that´s
the meaning of patriotism....it´s the American way so may the truth will
out....if you wanna hear that done a lot funnier, pick up Al Franken´s
book Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them …´´

you don´t look nervous (Al Leiter is standing between Soozie and Patti)
the leaves came tumbling down....´´
